This Provider Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between WeTask Limited ("WeTask") and the individual or entity registering as a service provider on the WeTask platform ("Tasker"). By accessing or using the WeTask platform, the Provider agrees to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Independent Contractor Relationship

Taskers operate as independent contractors. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, or fiduciary relationship between the Provider and WeTask.

Providers have no authority to bind or represent WeTask.

2. Provider Services and Responsibilities

Taskers are solely responsible for:

  • The quality, safety, and legality of services provided
  • Timely completion of accepted tasks
  • Use of appropriate tools, materials, and methods
  • Rectifying defects or issues in completed work

All services must be performed professionally and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Licensing and Qualifications

Taskers must hold and maintain all required licences, permits, registrations, and certifications applicable to the services they offer.

Providers are responsible for the accuracy and validity of all credentials displayed on the platform.

4. Legal and Tax Obligations

Taskers are solely responsible for all tax and statutory obligations arising from income earned through the platform, including income tax and GST (if registered).

WeTask does not withhold, remit, or report taxes on behalf of Providers.

5. Payments

Payments may be conducted either directly between Taskers and Task Creators or through the WeTask platform.

Where platform payments are used:

  • Customer funds may be paid to WeTask and held pending completion.
  • Funds received by WeTask are held until completion, automatic completion, or administrative release.
  • Held Funds are released into the Tasker's WeTask Wallet.

Taskers agree to use the platform wallet system where applicable and to comply with withdrawal requirements set by WeTask.

Providers acknowledge that WeTask may retain Held Funds during disputes, fraud reviews, chargeback investigations or regulatory compliance processes.

6. Platform Conduct

Taskers must:

  • Provide accurate profile information
  • Not misrepresent skills, qualifications, or availability
  • Not attempt to bypass platform fees or systems
  • Communicate professionally with Customers
  • Comply with all WeTask rules and policies

7. Cancellations, Refunds, and Credits

Cancellations may be initiated by either the Tasker or the Task Creator, subject to the Cancellation Policy.

7.1 Incorporation of Cancellation Policy

The WeTask Task Cancellation, Completion, Refund and Restriction Policy ("Cancellation Policy"), as updated from time to time, is incorporated by reference into this Agreement and forms part of the binding terms between the Provider and WeTask.

7.2 Acceptance of Updates

Providers agree to be bound by any updates or modifications to the Cancellation Policy upon publication on the WeTask platform.

7.3 Refund Eligibility

Taskers acknowledge that refunds are not guaranteed for all cancellations or disputes initiated by either the Tasker or the Task Creator. Refund outcomes are determined based on task status, timing, conduct, history, and administrative review under the Cancellation Policy.

7.4 Refund Method

All approved refunds are issued solely as WeTask account credits to the Task Creator's WeTask account. Refunds are not redeemable for cash, bank transfer, or withdrawal, and may only be reused on the WeTask platform.

7.5 Administrative Authority

WeTask may, at its sole discretion:

  • Finalise task outcomes
  • Approve, deny, or partially approve refunds
  • Apply, preserve, or reverse cancellation penalties
  • Impose temporary or permanent account restrictions

Administrative decisions are final for platform purposes.

8. Dispute Cooperation

Taskers and Task Creators acknowledge that:

  • Tasks may be automatically marked as completed if no response is provided within required timeframes after a completion request
  • Failure to respond may result in payment being processed without further input
  • Taskers are responsible for monitoring notifications and responding promptly to completion or dispute requests

Taskers agree to cooperate in good faith with Task Creators and WeTask in the resolution of disputes, including providing evidence, records, or explanations when requested.

WeTask does not act as a court or arbitrator.

9. Account Suspension and Termination

WeTask may suspend or terminate Provider accounts for policy breaches, unsafe conduct, fraud, misrepresentation, or actions that may harm Users or the platform.

10. Brand and Representation

Providers must not represent themselves as employees or agents of WeTask or misuse WeTask branding or intellectual property.

11. Account Deletion and Data Retention

Taskers may request account deletion at any time. Deleted accounts will be deactivated and removed from public view. WeTask may retain certain data for legal, security, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes.

Re-registration using previously associated details may require account reactivation approval.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
